OG's ability to do it time and time again seems incredulous. They put that TI mojo back to work in The International 10 (TI10) Western Europe Qualifier (WEU) and overcame all obstacles to qualify for the grandest Dota 2 stage. Tundra Esports put up an insane fight in the grand final of the TI10 WEU qualifier, but OG outlasted them to win the series 3-2. OG played eight games on the final day of the qualifier, spanning nearly 11 hours in total. They will not only defend their TI title later this year but also have a chance to become the first team to win three consecutive TI titles. Unfortunately for Tundra Esports, they have a heartbreaking exit after having delivered some excellent performances during the qualifier.

OG does it again! They qualify for The International 10

A lean DPC season for OG spanning six months in total turns into something significant, into something intangible, but incredibly important - the last remaining TI10 spot. After a tough first DPC season, MidOne parted ways with the team, and ana was welcomed for the second season, but that did not work out as well as they looked lackluster. However, OG made sure they scored a homerun when it mattered the most in the TI10 qualifier.

Many people were still confident they would win the TI10 qualifier despite no recent achievements as they entered the qualifier. The team even had a new player, Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, who only joined the team a month ago after ana retired. It was their high level of experience in such high pressure situations as well as their sublime uncertainty that made nobody want to rule them out.

OG managed to bring back that magic as they went on to defeat Team Nigma and Tundra Esports, among other fierce competitors. The team was on a strong run in the upper bracket but was knocked into the lower bracket when Tundra beat them in the upper bracket final. OG came back on the final day by winning the lower bracket final series against Nigma and then seeking revenge on Tundra Esports in the grand final.

Tundra had a 2-1 lead and was on the verge of a victory in the grand final. Although they had looked superb throughout the qualifier, OG held their nerves easier while they stumbled a bit in the last two games. SumaiL brought out a safelane Templar Assassin in both these final games, helping OG pull off two wins and take the series win.

OG had won TI8 and TI9 with N0tail, Ceb, Topson, ana, and JerAx

Only Martin "Saksa" Sazdov is not a TI champion in the current OG squad, as the rest have won at least one TI title.

OG’s current Dota 2 roster:

  1. Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan

  2. Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen

  3. Sébastien "Ceb" Debs
