OG Announces Misha as Head Dota 2 Coach For TI10

OG has announced that former Team Spirit captain, Mikhail "Misha" Agatov has joined its organization as the head Dota 2 coach for The International 10 (TI10). The defending champions outlined that they had been working with Misha for the past three months and that he had assisted the team to qualify for TI10 in the Western European (WEU) qualifiers. Titouan "Sockshka" Merloz, who has coached OG for the past two years, will continue to work with the team and is now the assistant coach. OG will defend its title and attempt to earn its third Aegis of the Champions at TI10, which takes place from 7th to 17th Oct 2021.

“After the DPC season ended, the team has worked extremely hard to make their new lineup work, and brought in some extra help. Today, we are thrilled to finally share with you that for the past 3 months we have been working with Mikhail “Misha” Agatov and welcome him officially as our head coach for TI10,” mentioned OG in a blog on its website.

The official statement of OG stated that Misha had already taken over as head coach following the second season of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). This recruitment was meant to add "an extra breath of fresh air to bring back OG’s legacy where it belongs, on a TI stage.” OG had defeated Tundra Esports 3-2 in the grand final of TI10's WEU qualifier, and Misha played a decisive role in this tournament.

After joining OG, Misha said he was honored to be working on his favorite team's success. Misha has been relatively inactive in professional Dota 2 in 2021, having only played a bit for VP.Prodigy in March 2021.

“Welcome Misha! It has been great having you around since the close qualifiers. You deserve a lot of credit for the transformation the teams have gone through. We are very grateful for the last few months of work, but the most fun is still ahead of us! An honor to go to TI with you,” said Johan "N0tail" Sundstein, OG’s captain.

“We want to publically welcome Misha into the OG family! He started working with him after a rough season, and we immediately felt the change. He has poured his soul into this project since day 1, and he was a key part of us qualifying to TI10. He is young, he is confident, and we believe he is going to really help us be the best version of us for TI10,” said Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, OG’s mainstay.

OG members are currently attending a bootcamp in Lisbon, Portugal, in preparation for TI10. At TI10, OG will be seeking its third Dota 2 World Championship title in a row after winning in 2018 and 2019.
