North American (NA) Dota 2 pubstar Rodeo vented his frustration against Evil Geniuses' support player Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka after playing a game in the IXDL 2022 together. On Black N Yellow's player Andrew "Jubei" Evelyn’s livestream on 7th Jan 2022, Rodeo commented that he was unimpressed with JerAx's support performance, mentioning that he left him to fend for himself during the laning stage while he was playing as a carry. In addition, Rodeo also complained about JerAx's item choices and made fun of his two wins at The International (TI).

NA pubstar Rodea rants about JerAx's support performance in the IXDL 2022

In IXDL 2022, Rodeo had played a game with JerAx, and was about to play another game with Jubei as one of his teammates. Jubei laughed at their team, which included three support players and two offlane players; after this, he asked Rodeo if he liked their team. The NA pubstar admitted that he was happier with this lineup compared to the previous one.

“I am happ[ier] with this pool than the one I was just in. EG’s fu**ing [position] five player literally left my lane at two minutes to go trilane the enemy carry and the enemy carry had 5.2k net worth at ten minutes. Are you streaming? I actually want to say the fu**ing n-word, like a hundred times,” said Rodeo.

In reaction to this, a teammate of Rodeo and Jubei asked ‘Twitch chat’ to relax and claimed that the n-word that Rodeo had said, meant “noob.”

Following this, Rodeo went on to check the post-match data and laughed at the amount of Sentry Wards JerAx had purchased in a 45 minute game.

“He also went Eul’s, Aether Lens on Ogre and went literally zero support items. Let me see how many sentries he bought in that 45 minute game. 15!? 15 sentries in a 45 minute game. One sentry every three minutes. Lol,” he said.

It is not the first time that an NA player has criticized JerAx's performance. JerAx had been previously called a "clown" by Wildcard Gaming's captain, Samuel "Sammyboy" Anderson after Evil Geniuses lost to Wildcard Gaming in Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) North America (NA) 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1. Sammyboy called JerAx old and shared that his team made fun of him.

JerAx, who won TI in 2018 and 2019, made his way back into competitive Dota 2 after a two-year hiatus. His new team Evil Geniuses hasn't looked in the best shape and has two wins after four series in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) NA 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1. At the moment, Evil Geniuses’ chances of making it to the first major of the season seem slim with it needing to beat Team Undying and Quincy Crew, who are on top of the standings, at the time of writing. The team also needs to play against 4 Zoomers.
