Karl Leads T1 to an Emphatic Victory Over Beastcoast in ESL One Fall 2021

T1 has delivered an impressive performance in the ESL One Fall 2021: Bootcamp Edition, knocking out beastcoast in the process. T1's midlaner, Karl “Karl” Matthew Baldovino showcased Dota 2 play of the highest caliber, leading the team to a 2-0 victory with an amazing combined KDA of 47-3-32. The first game was brutal for beastcoast, but they showed some signs of life in the second game. However, they made some costly mistakes to put themselves at a disadvantage and eventually lost the series. While beastcoast's journey concludes, T1 continues its lower bracket run in the ESL One Fall 2021.

In Game one, Karl played out of his mind on his mid Keeper of the Light. Having farmed like a madman, he then turned out a clinic of spellcasting to hunt down enemy heroes all over the map. He was well complemented by his teammates at T1 as they cruised to victory in 31 minutes.

Game two saw beastcoast put up a great fight with some excellent team combat. However, their decision to fight continuously without the presence of all their heroes backfired. Karl, once again, led the charge on his mid Void Spirit as T1 punished these mistakes. T1 was greatly favored throughout the entire game as they eventually won in 44 minutes.

Today, T1 was clearly the better team when it came to individual play, itemization, and spellcasting. Karl's performance in the midlane was astonishing, as he outplayed beastcoast's midlaner, Jean Pierre "Chris Luck" Gonzales, in both games. It is not every day that we witness more than 45 kills in two games from a single player.

In the group stage of ESL One Fall 2021, beastcoast put forth some impressive performances, but they appeared to fade as the event progresses. Tundra Esports and T1 easily defeated them in the playoffs. The South American (SA) team place 5th-6th and win $15,000 USD in prize money.

Interview: Xepher talks about his favorite hero in the current patch

In the post-match winner's interview following the series win, T1's position four player, Kenny "Xepher" Deo discussed his favorite hero in the current patch 7.30. Also, he joked that his captain, "Master Kuku," wouldn't let him play that hero.

“I like playing Rubick but my Master Kuku still does not want to give me (the hero) even if I keep spamming it. Yes, he is bullying me. (laughs)”

The next round of the lower bracket will see T1 face a very tough opponent. Later today, they will face China's juggernaut, PSG.LGD.
