During Team Liquid's recent DPC matches, Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka has been spotted in the team's bootcamp, surprising many in the community.
While JerAx looked to be assisting the team with drafting, captain of Team Liquid Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi joked that JerAx was their office manager, Jerry, who was tasked with maintaining discipline.
Team Liquid, which currently has a 1-1 W-L record, will be playing Alliance next on 21st June.

The sighting of Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka at Team Liquid's bootcamp during the team's recent Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Tour 3 series surprised many members of the Dota 2 community. Captain of Team Liquid Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi recently proceeded to explain what JerAx was doing at the bootcamp in a rather humorous way. iNSaNiA said that JerAx was their office manager, Jerry. As such, "Jerry" was asked to maintain discipline among Team Liquid players who were being violent, iNSaNiA jokingly explained further.

INSaNiA jokes that JerAx is Team Liquid’s office manager

Since Team Liquid lost its first series against goonsquad, the DreamLeague panel was unable to inquire about JerAx's presence; however, after it defeated Gaimin Galdiators 2-0 in its second series, iNSaNiA, who came for the post-match winner’s interview was asked about the two-time The International (TI) champion's sighting.

INSaNiA offered an amusing response to JerAx's role at Team Liquid, seemingly shying away from divulging any details about his presence at the bootcamp.

"Oh no, that's Jerry, the office manager. We were slamming the table too much. I don't know, instead of having William (Blitz - Team Liquid’s coach) in the room, we got to have someone from Liquid to make sure we behave properly and we don't damage the facility, so yeah."

While iNSaNiA apparently didn't give much insight into JerAx's role with the team, it appears he is assisting them with draft preparations, as seen on the team webcam. He has been seen around the players, discussing and analyzing, in both series so far - the one against goonsquad and the one against Gladiators.

Following JerAx's departure from Evil Geniuses after the team’s poor performance at the Stockholm Major, the player had tweeted that he was interested in joining a new team in the position four or five role or as a coach.

As part of their strategies and drafts, Team Liquid is currently coached by William "Blitz" Lee who has been with the team since October 2019. They also have an analyst Mathis "Jabbz" Friesel, who has been working with the team since September 2020. JerAx now looks to be the third individual who appears to be assisting the team with preparations.

Team Liquid's performance has been a tad uneven in recent months but it shall be hoping to improve upon it, especially given the fact that it has a lot of experience and reputation on board now. The squad will next face Alliance on 21st June as part of its third Tour 3 series.
