In a recent livestream, Team Liquid captain iNSaNiA explained why MATU and Zai were so important for their lineup.
iNSaNiA highlighted MATU and Zai's professionalism stating they were both extremely easy to work with and that they were "giga-professionals."
He also called MATU the smartest carry he has played stating that the Finnish carry "really understands how to win"

Team Liquid’s acquisition of Lasse Aukusti "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen and Ludwig "zai" Wahlberg early this season has been a largely successful endeavor. After his signing, the team managed to win the Western European Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division I, and secure a runner-up finish in the regional finals. In its most recent outing, Liquid managed to finish in third place in Tour 2 of the DPC as well putting them in prime position to secure a spot at The International 11.

MATUMBAMAN’s performances from the carry position has been pivotal in unlocking Team Liquid’s full potential and has won praises from many including the team’s captain, Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi.

iNSaNiA explains the importance of MATU and Zai in Team Liquid

In a recent livestream, iNSaNiA explained that working with MATUMBAMAN and Zai has been a breeze. “I honestly think [that] in terms of working with people, this is probably [the] all-time easiest team in a lot of ways. Being completely transparent, I think both MATU and Zai are extremely easy to work with, they’re giga-professionals. Not saying Boxxi and Micke (his other two teammates) aren’t, but they’re on a different tier,” he said.

Following this, he said MATU was the smartest carry player he ever played with. He said, “MATU is, I think, the smartest player… definitely the smartest carry I’ve ever played with. I think most carries are kind of dumb, usually. But I feel like MATU is like… he really understands how to win. It might not always be the flashiest, but it's very good at winning.”

With a player like MATU on the carry role, iNSaNiA will be very confident of Team Liquid’s chances as it heads to the ESL One Stockholm 2022 Major. The Major is scheduled to take place from May 12 to May 22 and will feature $500K USD as prize pool. 3,530 DPC points will also be at stake in this event.
