AS Monaco Gambit has already won its first series of the Dota 2 Champions League 2021 with iLTW.
iLTW has clarified via his personal Twitch stream that he has not parted ways with Team Nigma.

Team Nigma's carry player, Igor "iLTW" Filatov, will stand in for AS Monaco Gambit during the ongoing Dota 2 Champions League 2021 event. In a post on Twitter, the organization announced that iLTW would take the place of Kamil "agressive child" Biktimirov (also known as Koma`), originally expected to be the stand-in for the team. The team is also using veteran Russian player, Sergei "G" Bragin, as their stand-in support, since they lack a position five player. After benching carry Kiyalbek "dream" Tayirov, as well as parting ways with support Albert "eine" Garaev, AS Monaco Gambit had to fill their roster with two stand-ins for the Dota 2 Champions League 2021.

iLTW will be the carry player for AS Monaco Gambit during Dota 2 Champions League 2021

AS Monaco Gambit has already won its first series of the Dota 2 Champions League 2021 with iLTW. Earlier today, on July 19, 2021, they faced Spider Pigzs in the series and won 2-1. All three games were stomps for either team, taking 29, 27, and 17 minutes respectively to complete. In the first and third matches, AS Monaco Gambit proved to be the better team.

The following players, from position one to five, will represent AS Monaco Gambit at this event, unless further changes are made:

  1. Igor "iLTW" Filatov

  2. Artem "Lorenof" Melnick

  3. Vasilii "AfterLife" Shishkin

  4. Aleksandr "Immersion" Khmelevskoi

  5. Sergei "G" Bragin

According to cyber.sports.ru, on his Twitch stream iLTW clarified that he is still playing with Team Nigma and everything is going well between them.

Although AS Monaco Gambit was touted as one of the best teams in CIS a few months back, the multitude of roster changes has taken a toll on their performance. The departure of Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev and Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko before the Major meant that the team could not advance past the wild card, despite the promising play of SoNNeikO and No[o]ne’s replacements, Lorenof and eine. The team then lost back to back series to get eliminated from the TI10 EEU qualifiers.

AS Monaco Gambit now has ample time to find a new carry and a position five player to complete the squad before the next DPC season, since TI10 has been postponed to October 2021.

They will play Hellbear Smashers on July 21, 2021, in the next series of the Dota 2 Champions League 2021.

Epic Esports Events and the Russian Esports Federation are hosting five Dota 2 Champions League 2021 Championships. The ongoing event is the inaugural season. During this inaugural season, the group stage runs from July 19 to August 2, while the playoffs run from August 4-8. This event features 10 teams competing for a total prize pool of $50,000 USD.
