Team Secret has finally announced the addition of Singaporean offlane player, Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang to its Dota 2 roster. This confirmation comes after an extensive period of rumors about the player joining the team. An episodic comic that Team Secret is using to reveal its roster members hinted at iceiceice's inclusion initially, and a tweet confirming his addition soon followed. It will be iceiceice's first time playing for a European-based team across his extensive career. The offlaner parted ways with Evil Geniuses only a day ago.

Team Secret welcomes iceiceice in the offlane

“World-class, highly decorated, and a beast in the offlane: Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang is coming to troll your EU pubs this upcoming season,” mentioned Team Secret as it welcomed its new player with a rather humorous quip.

Team Secret’s updated Dota 2 roster:

  • Michał "Nisha" Jankowski

  • TBD

  • Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang

  • Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat

  • Clement "Puppey" Ivanov

  • Lee "Heen" Seung Gon (Coach)

“Pretty excited to be playing with Secret. It’s a perfect lineup for my playstyle, and Puppey has always been someone I’ve wanted to play with for the last 10 years. I love camels and I can’t wait to be punched by Puppey,” iceiceice commented on his addition to Team Secret’s offlane for the DPC 2021-22.

Before iceiceice’s official confirmation, Team Secret humorously released an episode dedicated to him called 'Pants Off!’ This was a nod to when Iceiceice used to wear shorts/boxers on The International (TI)’s stage in the early days of his career.

Iceiceice has moved from North America to Europe as a result of this change. In North America, he played with Evil Geniuses during the last DPC season where he put forth some very solid performances. With top two finishes in the two leagues and two Majors, the team was the most consistent side up until TI10. At TI10, Evil Geniuses failed to excel and ended up finishing 9th-12th. Iceiceice and captain Tal "Fly" Aizik are the two players to leave the team following TI10.

The bulk of Iceiceice's career has been spent in China and Southeast Asia, but he had decided to move to other regions in order to remain competitive. In Southeast Asia, he felt that he might become too comfortable and subsequently not be able to perform to the best of his potential.

The roster of Team Secret seems rich with experience, talent, and has a large number of accolades to their name. One final member is yet to be announced in the midlane. As only three days remain for the rosters to get locked for the DPC 2021-22, the fifth and final issue of the Team Secret’s roster reveal comic can be expected to drop soon.
