Gorgc’s Team Bald Reborn Is No Match for Nigma Galaxy in WEU DPC
The series between Nigma Galaxy and Team Bald Reborn was quite hyped from the point of view of fans as it featured top players on both sides. But, it was far from a match when it came to in-game execution as Nigma Galaxy prevailed 2-0 over Team Bald Reborn in the Western Europe (WEU) Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 Tour 3: Division 2. During the first game, Bald Reborn seemed to be executing its draft well in the early phases, raising the question of whether it would actually be able to challenge Nigma. However, the latter proved its class as the game went on and took a 1-0 lead. Taking a swift victory in the second game, Nigma demolished Bald Reborn without a fight to register its fifth 2-0 series win in the league.
Nigma Galaxy vs Team Bald Reborn: Match recap and highlights
Recap
In game 1, both teams placed their confidence in their plans, with Bald Reborn having the capability to drive the tempo early on and Nigma having the ability to scale better. Bald Reborn appeared clueless for the first five minutes, but as the laning stage progressed, it demonstrated the potential of its draft by making crucial moves. The game was equally matched after the laning stage but then Bald Reborn was punished for overextension and went down like ninepins from there. Nigma, led by SumaiL’s immaculate Dawnbreaker performance, was able to display a stronger execution and won the first game in 32 minutes.
In game 2, Nigma demonstrated its class early on, as its top micro decisions mixed with support moves consistently resulted in opponent kills. The attack never ceased as Bald Reborn continued to lose bodies all over the map. The map continued to shrink for Bald Reborn, and after only 24 minutes, the team called 'GG,' having suffered a total of 44 kills.
Highlights
Here are some highlights of the series.
Nigma continues to maintain its momentum and is dominating its opponents. Although popular players and livestreamers were on board today on both sides, it was expected that Nigma would have a relatively easy road, and that is exactly what happened. With no losses in the league so far, Nigma looks well positioned to return for Division 1.
For Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski and his teammates, Nigma's gameplay was too much to handle. Since Gorgc had been eagerly waiting for this contest, beating Nigma even in one game would have meant a great deal to him, but that wasn't to be. The streamer team, which unlike other teams does not scrim a lot, now has a 2-3 W-L record in the league so far and is positioned in the middle of the standings.
Nigma’s next series will be against EU Rejects on 6th July while Bald Reborn plays Brame on 5th July.
