Dota 2 Patch 7.30d Released 11 Days Ahead of TI10
Dota 2 patch 7.30d has been released with just 11 days left until the International 10 (TI10). As part of this update, a few of the neutral items have been overhauled with many heroes getting rebalanced. Dawnbreaker, Dota 2's 121st hero added to captain's mode around 15 days ago, has also been nerfed a bit after many believed that she was quite a strong and versatile character. Similarly, Tiny, a hero that had been skyrocketing in popularity in various roles has now been nerfed in patch 7.30d. Here is an overview of what Dota 2's patch 7.30d has to offer.
The Dota 2 patch 7.30d is out, and it rebalances heroes
While patch 7.30c had to a large extent brought all heroes to near equality, this patch has gone a step further and changed some components that were rated too highly by the players. One noticeable change in this patch is a nerf to the heroes’ laning stage prowess.
Bane, a hero that is pivotal to the support role in the current meta, has undergone significant laning stage changes. Level one Nightmare now deals five damage instead of 15, while by level four it deals 35 damage instead of 30. Brain Sap's level one cooldown has also been increased from 14 to 17. The fact that Bane is often picked in the hopes of winning lane for the carry means this change could have a significant impact on how professionals pick her in the future.
Dawnbreaker, who was touted as the support hero to watch out for at TI10, is now weaker at earlier levels, similar to Bane.
Silencer, who had become widely popular across almost all roles, is now weaker after patch 7.30d. The silence multiplier has been lowered from 2x to 1.7x in Arcane Curse. The radius of Last Word has been lowered from 650 to 500 in the Aghanim's Scepter. It is possible that Silencer will continue to be picked in the support role, but the midlane one is more likely to fall off the cliff.
In some games, Tinker has the potential to become the scourge, blinking about and killing heroes everywhere. As a result of 7.30d, Rearm's mana cost has gone up while Heat Seeking Missile's damage has also gone down, potentially deterring Tinker players from picking the hero as often as they used to.
In the carry role, Tiny was expected to define the meta at TI10, but with 7.30d this may no longer be the case. Toss' damage has been reduced, and Tree Grab's cooldown and bonus damage have been nerfed.
In addition, Zeus, a highly situational hero, has also seen a transformation to Static Field. From now on, Static Field damage will no longer reduce an enemy's HP but will deal damage like his other spells.
Additionally to the heroes mentioned above, neutral items like Tumbler's Toy and Nether Shawl also see significant changes.
