The ninth BTS Pro Series Southeast Asia (SEA) is already underway, bringing fans more action and giving teams a practice roundup before the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22. Nine invited teams, which include some of the best teams in the Southeast Asian Dota 2 circuit, have been competing since 29th Oct 2021. On 8th Nov 2021, the group stage ended and now it is time to start the playoffs as the remaining eight teams shall fight for the lion’s share of the $60,000 USD prize pool. Omega Esports was the only team that was eliminated.

Format

Group Stage (29th Oct - 8th Nov 2021)

Single round-robin group stage

  • All series are BO2

  • The top four teams advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs

  • The teams in the 5th to 8th place qualify for the lower bracket of the playoffs

  • The last place team is eliminated

Playoffs (10th - 14th Nov 2021)

  • Double-elimination bracket

  • Every series is a BO3 except for the grand finals

  • BO5 grand finals

Prize pool distribution

The prize pool for the competition is $60,000 USD, and each of the nine competing teams will receive a share based on their finish.

1st - $24,000

2nd - $13,800

3rd - $7,900

4th - $4,850

5th-6th - $2,850

7th-8th - $1,500

9th- $750 (Omega Esports)

The BTS Pro Series S9 is also taking place for the North American region, with a total prize pool of $40,000 USD. The DPC 2021-22 is reportedly scheduled to begin in 20 days and the qualifiers for the same will begin even sooner, so this event will serve as a financial boost as well as a valuable practice tool. As some of these teams may still have changes to make to their rosters, this event will also help them finalize the same.
