BOOM Esports Redeems Itself on Day 3 of Arlington Major 2022
BOOM Esports managed to give itself a decent shot at making it to the upper brackets of the Arlington Major after a fantastic performance on Day 3 of the Group Stages that saw the Southeast Asian team win three of its four games. The team currently has a 2-2-2 win-draw-loss record and is currently middle of the pack in its group. A victory for BOOM Esports on its final day at the Arlington Major Group Stages, where it takes on Team Aster could give it a decent shot at a direct slot in the upper brackets of the playoffs.
However, a loss could put it in jeopardy and in danger of elimination. So the series against Team Aster tomorrow (at 01:00 AM SGT) will prove to be crucial in determining BOOM Esports’ placement in the Arlington Major 2022 Group Stage.

BOOM Esports kicks off Day 3 with a Yopaj Rampage
In yesterday’s losses, it seemed like BOOM Esports’ star midlaner Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer did not have too much of an impact. But the Filipino midlaner played like a man possessed today in BOOM’s opening match against NAVI.
He started off with a phenomenal 14/1/5 performance on Storm Spirit in the first game, setting the tempo and controlling the game right from the get-go. All his rotations and farming patterns were on point, as he helped BOOM snowball into an early 27 minute victory. Game 2 saw Yopaj deliver more of the same and even saw him secure a spectacular rampage to close out the series 2-0.
BOOM only manages to hold Team Spirit to a tie
Bolstered by the momentum from the first game, BOOM successfully managed to beat Team Spirit in the first game with some immaculate teamfighting and clever initiations. BOOM led the game from minute one and was snowballing to yet another easy victory. However, a few hiccups put a halt to the snowball which caused concern amongst SEA fans. But Yopaj put an end to all the worries with a fantastic initiation that shut the door on Spirit’s comeback and handed BOOM the win.
Spirit struck back in Game 2, which caused the Southeast Asian team to finish with a 3-1 record and in 5th place in the points table. BOOM needs to win atleast a single game tomorrow to stand a chance at securing an upper bracket playoffs berth.
