During a post-match interview, BetBoom Team’s Danil "gpk" Skutin gave his own thoughts on strongest midlaners in the current season amongst other things.
He noted that Nisha is arguably the strongest midlaner in his opinion, followed by HellRaisers’ depressed kid and OG’s bzm.
He also gave his thoughts on the teams in EEU DPC, saying that Team Spirit will be their toughest test to come.

BetBoom Team’s explosive carry player Danil "gpk" Skutin recently gave his thoughts on his toughest opponents in the midlaner during the current season following its fifth consecutive win in Division I of the Eastern Europe Dota Pro Circuit 2023 (EEU DPC 2023): Winter Tour. Despite having dropped only one game against Darkside earlier this week, BetBoom Team still looks to be on course to be the first Eastern Europe team to qualify for the upcoming Lima Major.

During the interview, gpk names his toughest opponents in the midlane while also talking about the teams within the EEU region.

Gpk rates Nisha highly as one of the strongest midlaners currently

During the post-match winner’s interview according to Escorenews.com, BetBoom Team’s gpk talked about his toughest opponents in the midlane at the moment. He noted that he rates Team Liquid’s Michał "Nisha" Jankowski highly on the list as the latter previously praised gpk during a livestream, before listing another two opponents in HellRaisers’ Gleb "depressed kid" Zyryanov and  OG’s Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov. “[Who is the strongest midlaners at the moment?] Nisha, depressed kid, and bzm. After those three, I'd put Rostik [fn from Mind Games] in that list.” he said.

However, he also noted that he could not give a name of a strong midlaner from the China DPC region as he does not keep himself up to date with matches as well as the meta from the region. “ I didn't follow Chinese meta at the moment. Haven't seen a single game yet. I don't know what's the situation with mid players there to be honest.” gpk added.

Additionally, the Russian midlaner also gave his thoughts about the current state of the WEU DPC by saying that every team in the division can be a tough opponent while also hoping that HellRaisers qualifies for the upcoming Major. However, he also noted that the team’s upcoming match against Team Spirit will be a real test for the team.

“After us, every CIS team started to crush [others]. Our last game of the season will be against Spirit. We'll see, it will be an interesting one. I hope Gleb [depressed kid] qualifies for the Major, I truly believe in him. Nemiga is just like Vega, which I played with in the past. Good performance at the TI qualifier, but after that, they shouldn't continue together. That's my opinion.”

BetBoom Team are currently undefeated in the EEU DPC with five consecutive wins, with another victory essentially putting the team into direct qualification for the upcoming Lima Major in Peru. BetBoom Team’s next scheduled opponents will be Nemiga Gaming on 26th January, who are currently bottom of the standings with four straight losses.
