Arteezy Responds to TSM’s Banter About Securing First Place in NA DPC

Earlier on April 17, TSM beat Evil Geniuses in the North American Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021/22 Tour 2: Upper Division and moved to the top of the standings. The team had an undefeated tour so far, and was expected to finish the season as the NA DPC winners. The team even went on to banter about EG, calling it “old and washed” and stated that first place was TSM’s.

While neither EG nor its players responded to the Tweet at that point of time, it looks like Artour "Arteezy" Babaev was just biding his time.

Arteezy responds to TSM’s banter about EG

TSM went on to lose its next match against Quincy Crew 1-2, which meant that it finished with 6-1 scoreline. As a result, there is a situation in the group, where the three teams at the top of the table (TSM, EG, and Quincy Crew) have the same number of points.

The three teams will now compete in a series of tiebreakers to determine which two teams qualify for the Major and who wins the NA DPC 2021/22 Tour 2: Upper Division. As a result, TSM may not even qualify for the major if things go south for the team in the tiebreakers.

Arteezy may have just been referring to this possibility when he responded to TSM’s Tweet with “Funny.”

The regular season matches for the North American Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021/22 Tour 2: Upper Division took place from March 15 to April 20 online. The tiebreakers will take place on April 23rd.

At the end of the tiebreakers we will determine who amongst EG, TSM and Quincy Crew will have the bragging rights and take home the lion's share of the $205,000 USD prize pool and 920 DPC points. We will also finally find out the top two NA teams will receive slots at the ESL One Stockholm 2022 Major.
