23savage and Jabz Team Up for a Valorant Tournament

23savage, Jabz, and other Thai Dota 2 players have teamed up for a Valorant tournament, according to a post on 23savage's Facebook page. There is a light tone to the post, which suggests that these players are competing casually. It is likely that the team will compete in the open qualifier for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Thailand Stage 3 Challengers 3 Open Qualifiers, which is expected to be held on 31st July and 1st Aug 2021. 23savage hilariously added at the end of the Facebook post that sponsors should not approach them since the team could disband at any time.

T1 23savage and Fnatic Jabz will try their hands at Valorant

During this competitive offseason, where not many Dota 2 events are taking place, players seem to be enjoying other games. Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon and Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong, two of the most popular Thai Dota 2 players, have now teamed up for an upcoming Valorant tournament.

The team is named “M-Y Gang” and the roster is as follows:

In-game Leader (IGL): Toyzakung

Support: Anurat "boombell" Praianun and Natthaphon "Masaros" Ouanphakdee

Duelist: 23savage and Jabz

While Toyzakung is a streamer, boombell and Masaros currently play for the Motivate.Trust Gaming organization.

The players themselves are likely not expecting them to progress past the open qualifier of this Valorant event on 31st July and 1st August, because T1, Motivate.Trust Gaming and Fnatic, which are the four players’ respective teams, have a tournament lined up. They will be competing in the Beyond The Summit (BTS) Pro Series S7: Southeast Asia (SEA) group stage after its closed qualifier ends on 31st July. The exact dates of the group stage have not yet been announced.

If they do qualify for the Main Event of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Thailand Stage 3 Challengers 3, which will run from 5th-8th August, the five players will fight for a share of the approximately $2,800 USD prize pool. This Main Event will feature eight teams in total.

23savage and Jabz have qualified for The International 10 (TI10) with T1 and Fnatic, respectively. Fnatic defeated TNC Predator in the grand final of TI10's SEA qualifier to qualify for Dota 2's biggest event, while T1 qualified after earning enough Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points during the regular season.
