Team Spirit has announced plans on overhauling its CS:GO project after DreamHack Open November 2021.
Team Spirit's CEO said that the project started with this team wasn't able to fully achieve its potential.
Team Spirit's CS:GO team now enters a rebuilding phase, set to prepare a new roster that helps them achieve the highest objectives.

Team Spirit despite their best efforts failed to make it further into the currently ongoing PGL Major Stockholm 2021, placing 17th-19th at the tournament. Just two days after this bitter loss, Spirit has announced that they will be parting ways with their current CS:GO roster after DreamHack Open November 2021, scheduled to take place from 10th-14th November.

Nikita "Cheshir" Chukalin - CEO of Team Spirit, commented on this decision saying that "It is safe to say that its (Spirit's run with current roster) potential wasn't fully achieved. We have an understanding of the reasons behind it, but I am not prepared to share them just yet."

The Russian organization has now entered a rebuilding phase, a complete overhaul which will witness the formation of a new Team Spirit lineup with an aim to "achieve the highest objectives".

Team Spirit's CS:GO roster to undergo complete overhaul after early exit from PGL Major Stockholm 2021

Team Spirit had qualified for the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 as one of the 'Challengers' teams', but their performance was quite underwhelming considering that both the lower-seeded CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) teams, Virtus.pro (VP) and Entropiq, qualified for the Legends Stage of the Major.

On the opening day of the Challengers Stage, Spirit had gone '1-1'. They had dropped their inaugural match against FaZe Clan, only to bounce back and then defeat GODSENT.

Entering the second day high on confidence, Spirit handed a crushing '16-3' defeat to TYLOO on Overpass, now just one win away from qualifying to the next stage.

However, their qualifier match against the local rivals VP proved to be a huge task for them. The best-of-three series went down to an overtime decider on Overpass, but the pressure overwhelmed Spirit as they conceded the match to face a decider against Astralis.

Spirit failed to perform to the best of their abilities in their final match against Astralis, which resulted in their elimination from the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

With their run at the Major coming to an end sooner than expected, the organization just two days later on 31st October 2021 announced the departure of the current roster in two weeks time.
