The CS:GO Major which took place in Antwerp has achieved some big viewership milestones. Yes, it might not have become the most-watched CS:GO tournament ever like the Stockholm Major, as it fell short by a considerable 600,000 concurrent viewers, but it did manage to cross the two million mark during the grand final clash between NAVI and FaZe Clan.

While this is certainly worthy of appreciation, PGL has stated that this Major was also the largest indoor esports event ever with more than 20,000 viewers in attendance on the final day at the Sportpaleis Antwerpen.

Silvu Stroie - Founder and CEO of PGL said that "We have been working very hard to improve our broadcast continuously, and these numbers show us that we are on the right path."

In total over 40,000 spectators attended the event, across all days of the Champions Stage, whereas the online viewing helped the FaZe Clan vs NAVI faceoff to become the second most-watched match in the history of competitive CS:GO.

"The crowd was absolutely fantastic, and the atmosphere was maybe the best there has ever been at an event like this. Together with the entire CS:GO community, we have taken this passion of ours to entirely new heights in the past couple of months. We are incredibly grateful for all the feedback from the audience that has helped us get to this position," added Stroie.

The next CS:GO Major for the year has already been announced by ESL as IEM Rio 2022. It is all set to take place in the Jeunesse Arena, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 31st October to 13th November featuring a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD.
