Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) has reportedly initiated talks with Astralis for the transfer of device.
The reported buyout amount for device is around €1,000,000 EUR, who still has two years left before his contract with NIP expires.
Device has supposedly expressed a lot of interest in returning to Astralis, marking Astralis as his highest priority team.

Things continue to get even more interesting when talking about Nicolai “device” Reedtz, who is reportedly looking for a way out of Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) sooner or later.

It seems that the Swedish esports organization, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), is allegedly demanding a buyout amount of about €1,000,000 EUR ($998,685 or INR 7,94,16,000) from CS:GO teams that have shown an interest in signing the talented AWPer.

Further, Jaxon reports that a conversation seems to be brewing between NIP and Astralis. Though still in its initial phase, device is really keen on this transfer working out, expressing a desire of returing to Astralis and marking it as his highest priority team.

Report: NIP in initial talks with Astralis for device, demands transfer fee of around €1,000,000

It was earlier reported that device had been approached by several interested CS:GO teams following his decision to scout for opportunities outside of his current organization, NIP.

Most of these offers were straightforward, where the organization or team wanted him to be a part of its active roster. However, there was one special case where an upcoming org looking to enter competitive CS:GO had shown interest in signing him alongside other Danish players.

Three weeks later, it seems that the Dane is interested in returning home, going back to his former team - Astralis, supposedly making it his highest priority at this point in time.

NIP is also keen in shipping off the player who has been inactive since December last year. Keeping this in mind, NIP has reportedly initiated talks with Astralis which is still in its nascent stages, but has the potential to develop into something going forward.

It has reportedly requested a buyout amount of around one million euros, with Jaxon's source stating that it is "a fair market price, which isn't much above what NIP bought him for."

Device's contract with NIP is still on for two more years as he had signed a three year contract in April 2021.

Device grinding CS:GO on FACEIT

The 27-year-old has been grinding the game hard on FACEIT, playing CS:GO on and off since February 2022 and has been taking a more serious approach since the start of this month. But then again, is this enough to justify the alleged transfer fee?

It needs to be taken into consideration that last year device actually had a lot of worth and promise attached to his name, whereas right now a big cloud of uncertainty looms over his gameplay and performance because he has been away from the competitive scene for more than half a season.
