Before G2 Esports acquired m0NESY, NAVI head coach B1ad3 had given critical feedback about the youngster as a CS:GO player.
According to B1ad3, m0NESY gets really nervous before important matches which has affected his performance while playing with NAVI Junior.
Since then m0NESY, as speculated, has been signed by G2 Esports and will be competing under their banner as a dedicated AWPer.

Natus Vincere (NAVI) is walking into 2022 with a huge target on their backs as it is the CS:GO team everyone wants to beat. Though the stakes are high their head coach, Andrii "B1ad3" Horodenskyi, is cool as a cucumber and equally savage, not holding back his punches when talking about the former NAVI Junior star Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov.

When giving feedback regarding the 16-year-old CS:GO prodigy's gameplay, B1ad3 did not shy away from giving his honest opinion about him. The critical feedback did surprise some in the community and made them realize that m0NESY was still a youngster who needs to develop certain aspects outside of the server.

All the rumors and speculations about NAVI academy CS:GO player m0NESY transferring to G2 Esports came true a few days back on 3rd January. However, before this transfer had taken place, B1ad3 in an interview with Pley had given his thoughts on the youngster saying that,

Interesting to watch what lineup G2 Esports would have. Speaking about m0NESY, he is not really experienced. We (NAVI) thought that....we know that, in fact, that he gets really nervous in important matches. He was not performing at his best in the most important matches in his career (with NAVI Junior).

The Russian prodigy had been scouted really early by NAVI in January 2020 and after undergoing a trial had joined NAVI Youth, where the organization grooms potential talents for its academy roster. Within no time he had become a substitute in the NAVI Junior roster and finally, in March, he was promoted to the active roster as a permanent academy player.

Two years since then, m0NESY has already made his way to the top-tier of the CS:GO competitive circuit with G2 Esports showing faith in him to be their dedicated AWPer.

B1ad3's criticism about the youngster might be true and these are the things that G2 should be focussing on when grooming him as one of the best CS:GO players in the world. This is because m0NESY might be a beast within the server, but when competing professionally and especially when you are going up against players like Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, the mental conditioning of the player should be at its peak.
