Magisk Talks About Team Vitality's Performance in First Half of 2022

Team Vitality had big aspirations ahead of the 2022 season as it left behind its wholly French CS:GO roster to adopt an international lineup consisting of French and Danish members. However, it has not been an eventful year for the organization thus far, aside from landing a spot in the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 through the Spring Groups qualifier held in February earlier this year.

With the competitive season almost having reached the halfway mark, Vitality rifler Emil "Magisk" Reif spoke about the team's journey so far among other things, ahead of their match against G2 Esports at the Spring Finals 2022.

Magisk sums up Team Vitality's performance in CS:GO so far in 2022

Team Vitality finds itself in a tough situation as it has not even been able to make it past the group stage of several CS:GO tournaments. Despite this, Magisk still believes in the process and looks on the bright side of things. He feels that they only need to taste success once after which everything else will start falling in place.

Talking about Vitality's performance through the 2022 season so far, Magisk during an interview with Pley explained that the starting couple of months were tough because the team started out with slightly higher expectations.

"We started out with some more expectations of at least getting into the playoffs by now. So obviously that's disappointing but I also know that with the right amount of work and knowing that we are a unit that is working really hard together, we have it in us but everything takes time," expressed Magisk.

He went on to add that once the team starts achieving a little bit of success and gets more comfortable, slowly over time they will build upon it to catapult their way to the top.

"Once we start getting a little bit of success, you get more comfortable, you also feel that the hard work is paying off, and all these kind of things. So, I think for us it's a little bit more about getting some success in some way and then slowly building on," said Magisk.

The last time Magisk played in front of a live audience was in 2019. Now, almost three years later Vitality has an opportunity to qualify for the playoffs and compete at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. It will be interesting to see how the team goes on to perform from here on out as they take on G2 Esports in their opening bout.
