Legendary Brazilian CS:GO Coach Zews Survives a Heart Attack

Legendary CS:GO coach Wilton "zews" Prado suffered a heart attack yesterday on 25^th April. The Brazilian was rushed to the hospital following the cardiac arrest. He underwent two angioplasty procedures due to 90% obstruction in one of the coronary arteries.

According to a post shared by the two-time Major winning CS:GO coach, he underwent cardiac catheterization followed by the two angioplasty procedures. The 34-year-old is now undergoing recovery, as he went on to state that "Hopefully everything will be ok".

There was an outpour of support from the entire CS:GO community as players, teams, talents, and fans came forward to give him their best wishes while also hoping for his speedy recovery.

One of the most celebrated and renowned CS:GO coaches in the world, zews, survived a heart attack yesterday and is currently undergoing recovery.

He is one of the most legendary coaches in the competitive scene especially in Brazil, as he helped both the Luminosity Gaming and SK Gaming lineups from the country win back-to-back Majors six years ago in 2016.

Establishing himself as a household name within Brazil, zews decided to go international as he joined the North American organization Team Liquid towards the end of 2016.

Two years later he came back to his home country and worked with the likes of Yeah Gaming and MIBR, before joining Evil Geniuses for what was to become his last stint as a coach till date.

Since having left EG in August 2021, zews has not been associated with CS:GO directly, at least not in the capacity of a coach.

Further during an interview with the 'esports historian' Duncan "Thorin" Shield in October 2021, zews confirmed that he was not too keen on coaching (CS:GO and Valorant) and was instead shifting his focus towards content creation.

The outpour of support zews received from the CS:GO community was overwhelming as players, talents, fans, and teams gave him their best wishes.

Zews is currently working on a completely different project which is related to NFT (Non-Fungible Token) under the brand Flare MC. It remains to be seen if he truly never returns to coaching in CS:GO or Valorant and stays committed to his path.
