American RMR Day-2: FURIA and MIBR qualify for the Antwerp Major, EG to face Liquid in the '2-1' bracket

It was an absolutely intense day of action at the American RMR. The first match of the day took place between Imperial and MIBR, the former starting the proceedings by winning the first map but failing to close out the series, which led to a '2-1' victory for MIBR.

FURIA made quick work of Complexity by ensuring a clean '2-0' victory, the first win being secured on Ancient followed by another on Vertigo. Complexity still has a chance to qualify as they take on Caetano in the '2-1' bracket tomorrow.

The '1-1' bracket witnessed the North American trio of EG, Liquid, and Party Astronauts winning their respective matches against 00 Nation, paiN Gaming, and Case Esports.

But while Party Astronauts will be taking on the Brazilian roster of Imperial, both the North American giants EG and Liquid will have to take on each other. Only one of them will be able to move further in the tournament, while the other drops down to the '2-2' bracket.

The two teams that got eliminated today are Bad News Bears and Leviatan, both of them getting completely wiped by their opponents 9z and oNe, who survived one series only to move on to another decider against 00 Nation and paiN respectively.

Three more teams will be getting eliminated on the third day, it will be interesting to see which teams continue to survive whereas which three bow out of the qualifiers tomorrow.
