Coldzera Reveals Why He Joined Complexity Despite Having Multiple Offers
The Brazilian star player talks about why he chose Complexity.
Complexity Gaming played their debut match with Marcelo "coldzera" David as part of their CS:GO roster, and started off their BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 campaign by handing a clean '2-0' defeat to FaZe Clan. In a pre-match interview with BLAST Premier, coldzera, who was returning to the competitive scene after more than three months, spoke about why he chose to join Complexity despite being offered the position of a stand-in.
For now, the Brazilian star rifler has been brought in as a replacement for Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke who is currently recovering after having injured his right wrist just before ESL Pro League Season 14.

The former FaZe Clan player when asked about why he joined Complexity straight off the bat said that he wanted to play along with Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu, who is the head coach of the European CS:GO roster. He followed it up by also mentioning that the role which Complexity had to offer him was something that he felt comfortable playing.
I chose Complexity because I wanted to play with Luis (peacemaker) first of all. He is a great coach and we had already spoken in the past as well if we could play together. So, I had a lot of good options to go, but I chose Complexity because of Luis, I want to work with him and the vibe of the team is good as well. Coldzera went on to speak about a few other things as well, including his role in the team. The 26-year-old clarified that he would be playing the same role as that of k0nfig, which suits him very well. He would also be in a capacity to act as the second shotcaller as well.
Going up against his former team FaZe Clan in his debut match for Complexity, coldzera put on quite the show as he held an overall HLTV rating of 1.16. Also, this was the first time he played Ancient in a competitive setting.
It will be interesting to see how this iteration of Complexity go on to perform against Na'Vi tonight in the upper bracket finals.
