Bymas Excited to Play First CS:GO Event With New MOUZ Lineup: "I'm feeling very confident"

One of the youngest riflers in competitive CS:GO, Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras, is ready to kick start his 2022 season with German esports organization MOUZ. After missing out on IEM Katowice 2022 due to COVID-19, the Lithuanian rifler is ready to play his first tournament of the year - ESL Pro League Season 15.

This tournament will also mark his debut with the revamped MOUZ roster as they take on Entropiq in their opening match on 9^th March. Finally, the complete CS:GO lineup will be coming together for the organization following a lacklustre start to the competitive season as they placed 9^th-12^th at IEM Katowice 2022.

Talking about the same, Bymas via a tweet revealed that he is feeling confident about the positions that have been handed to him by the team and is "looking forward to finally playing the first officials with the new roster".

The 18-year-old has had a rough start to the year but he is ready to bounce back and is looking forward to it. Reflecting on the past year, Bymas thinks that the last few months for him have not been great individually.

"The last few months after a strong individual performance at the Major (PGL Stockholm Major 2021) was probably the worst I've had during my whole MOUZ period," said Bymas.

MOUZ who had started as Challengers at the PGL Stockholm Major 2021, barely made it past the first stage before going down in the next one, settling for a 12^th-14^th position at the tournament. However, Bymas put on a strong individual showing by achieving an overall HLTV rating of 1.10 in the challengers stage and 1.11 in the legends stage.

As stated by him, the performance took a sharp dip in the next two tournaments, as he achieved a rating of 0.88 at DreamHack Open November 2021 and a rating of 0.73 at IEM Winter 2021.

"I caught a flu right before the tournament (DH Open November) and had high fever," said Bymas further explaining that "I could barely focus whilst playing which lead us to losing to teams that we would normally beat easily. It also felt like because of the losses, the confidence, mood, and motivation of the team was down even more, which lead us to playing bad at IEM Winter."

MOUZ went on to make the following changes after the season concluded,

• Parted ways with their star rifler Robin "ropz" Kool, who had been with the team for more than four years.

• Parted ways with their coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg and veteran player Chris "chrisJ" de Jong.

• Benched Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand exactly after a year and replaced him with Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás from their academy team MOUZ NXT.

• Signed French veteran Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt who returned from his retirement.

• Promoted Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen from being the coach of MOUZ NXT to coach of the main roster.

Having missed out on IEM Katowice 2022 due to COVID-19, Bymas is looking forward to playing with the new lineup.

"Ever since the addition of NBK and torzi, I've been put into lurk positions on the T-side, and I am feeling very confident with it, unlike in FaZe where I had no clue what I was doing most of the time," said Bymas while talking about his role and position as part of the revamped roster.

MOUZ is set to start its journey in the ESL Pro League Season 15 as they take on Entropiq first. They are part of the 'Group-A' alongside teams like G2 Esports, NIP, Fnatic, and LookingForOrg.
