BlameF, K0nfig, Ave to Replace Dupreeh, Magisk, Zonic on Astralis CS:GO Roster

Astralis has announced the arrival of Danish star players Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke to their CS:GO roster, following their exit from the Legends Stage of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021. The two new additions will be replacing long-standing members Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen and Emil "Magisk" Reif.

Not only this, former North coach Alexander "ave" Holdt has also been announced as the new head coach for Astralis, as Danny "zonic" Sørensen prepares to part ways with Astralis after more than six years.

For now, Astralis has 10 members as part of its CS:GO team, with the former trio mentioned above taking the bench. The reformed Danish lineup will be seen in action at the upcoming BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021 scheduled to take place from 24^th-28^th November 2021.

The founding members of the Astralis lineup dupreeh and Zonic, along with long-standing rifler Magisk are all set to part ways with the organization no later than January 2022, when their contracts expire.

All the rumors and reports have come true, as Astralis now remains with only two of its founding members, Lukas ”gla1ve” Rossander and Andreas ”Xyp9x” Højsleth. Both of them have signed a new contract with the organization, gla1ve is all set to remain with the team until summer of 2024 while Xyp9x has been locked in till October 2025.

The move comes just three days after Astralis' exit from the ongoing PGL Major Stockholm 2021, where they managed to withstand an early setback in the Challengers Stage before finally bowing out of the tournament in the Legends Stage.

The transfer of k0nfig to Astralis had been doing the rounds even before he had been benched by Complexity Gaming, which only added more fuel to the reported murmurs.

However, there had been no reports linking blameF to this move. Though the CS:GO community, sharp as ever, had predicted blameF's transfer to Astralis right after Complexity Gaming had decided to bench him out of the blue.

Both the Danish players secured by Astralis are promising and have proved their worth on the international stage. With a few big events still left to be played within the calendar year, Astralis has gone for the early changes because "they want to eliminate the insecurities and ensure the clarity and focus they need to create the best possible conditions for everybody on and around the team."

Ave, the former North coach who had been handed a six-month ban by ESIC (Esports Integrity Commission) last year in September for exploiting the spectator bug, has been signed as the new head coach. He also received a two Major ban in January earlier this year by Valve, which means he will not be able to assist Astralis in the next CS:GO Major.

The reformed Astralis lineup will be seen in action towards the end of this month as they will be competing in the upcoming BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021 with the following lineup,

It will be a bit strange to see this team play with some new and unfamiliar faces donning the Astralis jersey, but it will surely be exciting to see some explosive action when the team plays across the next few events.
