With the battle royale going live with its pre-registration for Android devices a few days back, the local mobile gaming community is excited as the game’s release is now closer than ever before.

A viral rumour that is currently doing the rounds is surprisingly associated with the upcoming ‘Annual Solar Eclipse’ which will be taking place next month on June 10, 2021. This date is being speculated as Battlegrounds Mobile India’s release day, as one of the posters created for the mobile game four days ago resembles the event of a solar eclipse.

As shown in the image above, a user has compared the silhouette of a level three helmet to a solar eclipse. The community was ecstatic following this astute observation and seems to believe that it is definitely some kind of a sign that points towards the game’s official release date.

Krafton's official stance on the matter, at the moment, is that it is still finalizing a release date for Battlegrounds Mobile India.

According to information spotted on Battlegrounds Mobile India’s official support page on their website, Krafton has responded to a query asking "When Krafton is planning to launch this game in India?”

“We are still in the process of finalizing the launch date, we will keep our fans informed on further developments. New updates will be released on our official website and social networks, so please stay tuned for further news!”

As per Krafton’s statement, the release date of Battlegrounds Mobile India is still in the process of being finalized. Nothing is official as of now and all the dates being discussed are just speculations at this point in time.

The developers have released additional information about the game like minimum system requirements, indigenized gameplay changes, India specific esports scene, a preview of reward items, and many other things.
