Orange Rock Esports announced the departure of its PUBG Mobile IGL Harmandeep “Mavi” Singh, who is also known as Toxic Mavi. He was a core member of the team and helped OR Esports win major esports events including the ESL India Premiership, PUBG Mobile Pro League (Spring Split South Asia), VLT Major Invitational, and more. The player will be moving forward from his pro career to pursue content creation under 8bit Creatives.

Mavi’s Success Story in PUBG Mobile Esports

Mavi is one of the PUBG Mobile players in the region. He started his competitive career in PUBG mobile with Indian Tigers, a team that managed to secure the 2nd runner-up spot at the first PMCO and #6 in the PMCO Global Prelims. After his stint with Indian Tigers, he moved to Orange Rock Esports and competed in the PMIT and PMAS but his most successful year was 2020.

Orange Rock Esports became the champions of the PMPL SA S1 League Stages and ESL India Premiership and secured the runner-up spot at the PMWL East Finals and PMCO Sprig India.  The team also competed in non-official tournaments like VLT Invitational and NimoTV PUBG League.

Following the ban on PUBG Mobile in India, Mavi started focusing on content creation and he has over 750,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 317,000 followers on Instagram. He will be continuing as a content creator moving forward under 8bit Creatives. There are reports of the player joining S8UL Esports in the future, which is a partnership between Soul Gaming and 8bit Esports.

In the latest Q&A video by Mavi, another PUBG Mobile star Tanmay ‘Sc0ut’ Singh said “we don't know which team we both will join but we will play together". However, there is no official confirmation from either the players or any esports organizations just yet.

PUBG Mobile has made a return to India as Battlegrounds Mobile India and esports organizations are looking forward to how KRAFTON shapes the country’s esports ecosystem. The studio talked about how it plans on shaping the esports scene in the country through exclusive tournaments which are yet to be announced. While the game has been confirmed officially, a release date is not available at this time.
