As of the moment, players can only play the classic battle royale map, the Sniper Challenge, and the Blitz Mode in the Battle Royale mode.
COD Mobile Alcatraz Battle Royale Map Removed
The Alcatraz Battle Royale map first debuted on October 15, 2020, as part of the COD Mobile Season 11 Anniversary Update. This map was based on a map from Call of Duty Black Ops 4 of the same map name.
The map was a fan favorite due to its fast-paced matches. A total of 40 players are dropped on the map and can only respawn five times over the course of the game. This allows players to grind for their ranks faster compared to the classic Battle Royale map.
A few days before the release of COD Mobile Season 2, players started noticing that the Alcatraz Battle Royale map had disappeared. This came as a surprise because Activision never announced that they were removing the battle royale map. Following the removal of the map, players have been asking Activision for a reason for its removal and have placed dozens of requests to bring it back to the game.
As of the moment, the devs are yet to announce the reason for the removal of the COD Mobile Alcatraz Battle Royale map. In the meantime, players can play three other battle royale game modes, Classic, Sniper Challenge, and Classic - Blitz.
