Ex-Dota 2 Pro Jacko Switches to Mobile Legends
- Amihan announced that former DOTA2 esports pro, Jacko, will be joining their Mobile Legends roster.
- Jacko was previously under fire due to the PH322 incident back in 2014 where his team were found guilty of Match-fixing matches.
- Amihan esports is hoping everyone will give the player a chance to prove himself in the Mobile Legends esports scene.
Mark Anthony “Jacko” Soriano, was once a prodigy in the Dota 2 esports scene in the Philippines. But his career was short-lived when he got involved in a controversial match-fixing scandal in one of the Starladder events in Dota 2. This resulted in Jacko along with his team, being banned from all future official Dota 2 tournaments hosted by Valve. It has been almost five years since the Filipino player received a ban in Dota 2, but it looks like Jacko is finally making a comeback to the esports scene, but this time, in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Recently, Amihan Esports announced that Jacko will be joining their ranks as a member of their Mobile Legends roster and continue his journey in one of the biggest mobile esports in the market.

Jacko and PH322 Incident
The term “322” originated from the match-fixing issue back in 2013 where it was revealed that Alexey "Solo" Berezin, a Russian esports pro in Dota 2, won $322 USD at the StarLadder Dota 2 tournament by match-fixing his matches to win the tournament.
In 2014, several members of the Mineski-DOTA and MSIEvoGT also landed on the same issue when conversations between the teams revealed they agreed to throw games in order to win Dota 2 Matches. Jacko, a promising Dota 2 Player, at that time, was part of this scheme which resulted in him and his team being banned from all official Valve Dota 2 tournaments.
Jacko Switches From Dota 2 to Mobile Legends
The big announcement was posted on Jan. 27, 2021, when Amihan Esports announced that Jacko, a former Dota 2 professional, will be joining their Mobile Legends team. However, his transition to one of the biggest mobile esports in the market was received with mixed reactions.
“Jacko’s decision to transfer to Mobile Legends signifies a story within all of us. A symbol of redemption of oneself and forgiving your own past,” Amihan Esports added in a post about Jacko’s transition.
Amihan Esports added they believe Jacko has learned from his mistakes in the past and that they are willing to give the player a chance to pursue his dream as a professional esports pro.
Jacko has now started livestreaming Mobile Legends gameplay on Amihan Esports official page. His preferred role is Core and is using heroes such as Claude, Ling, and Yi Sun-shin. Needless to say, the young prodigy is starting to move on from his past mistakes and learning from them.
