  • During the Season 2021 Opening Livestream, FeralPony mentioned that there will be an event featuring two of the "Deadliest Champions" in Wild Rift.
  • Based on the lore, it is speculated that these champions are Rengar and Kha'Zix as both predators have a grudge against eachother.
  • To add further, there is a mini-event in the PC version if both champions are played by the opposing teams which tasks them to hunt each other and prove who is the strongest predator.

The lore of League of Legends: Wild Rift is quite fascinating. Each champion’s backstory intrigues anyone who dares to venture into the lore of the game. During the Season 2021 Opening Livestream, Riot Games dev, FrealPony, announced that two of the deadliest champions would be making it to the game in 2021. Who could these champions be? Here is what we know about these mystery champions who are coming in to Wild Rift soon.

The Hunt is On!

In the League of Legends PC, there are two deadly assassins capable of one-shotting enemies with ease. These champions are Rengar and Kha’Zix. These champions happen to have grudges on each other in the lore. They both seek each other to prove who is the strongest predator.

This rivalry even became a mini-event in the game. ‘The Hunt is On!’ event activates when Kha’Zix is on his final evolution, and Rengar has 5 Trophies in his Bonetooth Necklace. The event will task the two predators to eliminate each other.

If Rengar successfully kills Kha’Zix, his Bonetooth necklace will be replaced with Kha’Zix’s head, which provides an additional stack for his passive, making him stronger.

However, if Kha’Zix wins the duel, he gains an additional evolution point. This allows him to evolve all of his abilities, a feat he usually can’t do in regular matches.

The two champions also share dialogues as the mini-event starts. Here is a short video showcasing it;

Considering the fact that this rivalry is big enough to warrant a mini-event in the PC game. These two champions might be the one FeralPony is referring to.

Kha’Zix is a weak void creature who escaped it’s dimension and started devouring ferocious creatures to acquire their predatorial skills. This allowed Kha’Zix to be one of the most dangerous creatures in all of Runeterra. While hunting for his next prey, he was ambushed by Rengar, which resulted in him poking one of Rengar’s eyes. From that day on, Kha’Zix swore to devour one of the most powerful predators he has met, Rengar.

Rengar was born different, smaller than his kind. He was thought to be weak and couldn’t hunt for himself. This made Rengar fled his tribe in shame. In the wilderness, he learned to fend for himself and eventually aimed to be twice as ferocious as his fellow tribesmen. He came across Kha’Zix, and it sparked a passion inside him. He now seeks the void creature’s head not to prove his worth in the tribe but to satisfy himself as the predator.

If the speculations are correct, this might be the right moment to start saving on those blue motes. These two aren’t your regular junglers in Wild Rift. They will rip and tear anyone if you let your guard down for just a second.
