The esports scene for Wild Rift is looking bright. As Riot Games make preparations for their upcoming esports tournaments, Taiwan has its own plans on hosting a Wild Rift tournament in the upcoming Taipei Game Show 2021. 

Taipei Game Show 2021 Features Wild Rift

Taiwan is one of the countries that have embraced and acknowledged esports. With the recent growth of mobile esports, the country aims to jump into the trend and host mobile esports tournaments. One of the mobile esports games that have been advertised for the upcoming Taipei Game Show 2021 is Wild Rift.

The Taipei Game Show is one of the biggest esports events held in Taiwan. Often attracting gamers from across Southeast Asia.

Wild Rift made its way into the TGS 2021 along with other popular game titles such as Legends of Runeterra, Valorant, Fight of Animals Arena,  Just Dance 2021, and Conqueror’s Blade.

This esports event is targeted among new and existing players residing in Taiwan. Registration is free but teams are required to have a Planet9 account in order to register their teams in the tournament. Registration for the Wild Rift tournament is up until Jan. 13, 2021. 

The participants will be divided into four groups. The winners of each group will then make their way to the finals where they will fight each other to claim the title of being Champion.

According to market researcher Newzoo, China is the largest esports market in 2020, with revenues of $385.1 million. With this in mind, China might lead the charge in promoting mobile esports events in 2021.
