PUBG Mobile Pakistan Challenge 2020 (PMPC 2020) is currently in its Grand Finals stage. Initially, a total of 16 teams had made it to the finals, however, according to Liquipedia editor Memphiz, 3 teams, namely GOD Speed, SINISTER and GOLD Diggers have been disqualified due to hacking or cheating. In an Instagram story uploaded yesterday, Memphiz wrote that additional matches had been added due to teams boycotting and the disqualifications.

This brings the number of teams in the finals down from 16 to 13. PMPC was converted into a 4-day affair after the multiple disqualifications with 5 matches being added to the schedule to keep play fair. After the disqualifications in the finals, the tournament’s matches were postponed to 29th December 2020 with 10 matches to be held on the final day.

GOD Speed, GOLD Diggers And SINISTERS Join The List Of Disqualified PMPC Teams

GOD Speed were disqualified from PMPC after Day-1 for cheating. GOLD Diggers were sitting at second place in the leaderboards before the disqualification. At the end of the Grand Finals Day 2, GOLD Diggers were at 129 points with 2 Chicken Dinners while SINISTERS were in 10th place with 61 points. KING from SINISTERS was leading the kill leader board with 25 kills, 3346 damage and 22:18 survival time before the team was disqualified from the tournament after Day-2 for cheating. 

GOLD Diggers disqualified from the tournament after Day-2 for violating tournament rules and showing unprofessional behaviour. According to the Competition Rules for PMPC, unprofessional behaviour includes a variety of offences including negative statements and non-compliance of the terms of service.

This isn’t the first instance of teams being disqualified from PUBG Mobile Pakistan Challenge 2020. According to Gamzo, 3 More Teams had been disqualified from PMPC on 16th December. Captains, Team Lion's, D3LTAesports were replaced with the next best teams from their group in leaderboards after also receiving 10-year bans.

About PUBG Mobile Pakistan Challenge 2020

The PUBG Mobile Pakistan Challenge 2020 held its In-game Qualifiers last month from 16th to 22nd November 2020. The top 256 teams advanced to Online-Qualifiers where they played 2 matches in groups of 16 and the top 7 teams with the best cumulative score in each group qualified for the Quarter Finals. A total of 112 teams advances to Quarter Finals and the number went down to 64 for the Semis. Here 64 Teams were divided into 4 groups with 16 teams in each group. The top 4 teams from each group qualified for the Grand Finals. The Finals were to take place between 25th and 27th December, but due to the disqualifications, it has been postponed to the 29th.

Currently, Team F4 is leading the scoreboard with 156 points and 3 Chicken Dinners. R3GICIDE is tied in second place with Scytes with 89 points (after GD got disqualified). NextGen Esports and Team H2e round out the top 5 with 82 and 75 points respectively.
