Wild Rift Switching To Regional Open Beta And Adding More Champions
- Wild Rift is entering its first Regional Open Beta starting 27th October in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.
- Players can log in using their existing Riot Games accounts and earn rewards based on their time and monetary investment in League of Legends on PC.
- K/DA champions and skins are headed to Wild Rift.
Riot Games, the developer and publisher of League of Legends: Wild Rift, today revealed that Wild Rift is entering its first Regional Open Beta starting 27th October in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand, with more regions to follow in 2020 and early 2021. Riot is also welcoming players from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. All players in those regions will have full access to Wild Rift.
Wild Rift Regional Open Beta
Michael “Riot Paladin” Chow, Wild Rift’s executive producer, announced a number of upcoming events for current players and fans of the game. Wild Rift will be expanding to new markets over the next few months. In December, Riot plans expansion to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Oceania, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, and Vietnam with plans to expand to the Americas in Spring 2021.
To honour the legacy and history of gaming in each Open Beta locale, Riot will also release locally tailored content every day on the road to Open Beta. Influencer spotlights, guides, and community highlights will equip players with all they need to prepare for Wild Rift.
There are also a number of in-game rewards lined up for players in South Korea and Japan. Players can log in using their existing Riot Games accounts and earn rewards based on their time and monetary investment in League of Legends on PC. For the Southeast Asian regions in the Closed Beta, players can create and link a Riot Account and earn rewards like champs and skins later in the year.
While Riot has said that Wild Rift’s global launch will happen sometime during the end of 2020, the iOS version of Wild Rift has updated a release.
New Patch, New Champs
In a new patch, hitting later this month, Wild Rift will release one of League’s most popular junglers. Lee Sin, the Blind Monk, will be headed to the Rift, now adapted with seamless, mobile-friendly controls. Riot will also start testing 6 champions that they want to bring in. Kai’Sa, Evelynn, Akalki, Darius, Draven and the newest popstar Seraphine will be joining the ever-expanding champion roster for Wild Rift.

K/DA ALL OUT in Wild Rift
Wild Rift joins K/DA’s multi-game comeback with special K/DA skins for all the band members. Their recent ALL OUT video showed off models for the new K/DA Kai’Sa and Evelynn skins in Wild Rift and it looks like Riot is keeping its promise.
Inspired by K-pop, K/DA has since evolved to embrace a more global pop sound and formed its musical identity around the characters representing the girl group, Ahri, Evelynn, Akali, and Kai’Sa, instead of the vocals of any one individual talent. The group debuted on November 3, 2018, with their viral hit sensation, POP/STARS, and a dedicated skin line in League of Legends. Since then, the girls officially made their comeback on August 27, 2020, with their pre-release single, THE BADDEST, which will be one of five songs on their upcoming EP, ALL OUT.
At the end of October, players will be able to purchase K/DA ALL OUT Seraphine for 1325 Wild Cores, and K/DA ALL OUT Ahri, K/DA ALL OUT Akali, K/DA ALL OUT Evelynn and K/DA ALL OUT Kai'Sa for 990 Wild Cores each (Wild Rift’s paid currency).
