PMPL Thailand Finals - Power888 With A Massive Day 1 Performance as Faze Slip

Power888 Esport had a mighty impressive start to the PMPL Thailand Finals as the team ended the day with 101 points in just 5 games, with top 4 finishes in all and one chicken dinner. The opening day saw Team Secret, Illuminate and King of Gamers Club all finish at roughly 70-80 point mark which does mean that the teams can cover up in the next two days. 

Meanwhile the winners of the League stage, RRQ Athena are languishing in 14th place with just 7 kills in 5 matches. Their arch rivals, Faze Clan, who finished second in the league too had a below par performance, ending the day with just 51 points and 1 WWCD. Fortunately for RRQ, the team already has a direct spot in the SEA Finals as they are the defending champions. 

For the rest of the teams though, only the top three spots have qualification written on them with the winners going directly to PMWL East and the second and third placed teams making their way to the SEA Finals. For Faze Clan it will be a big loss if they can’t advance to the further stages, considering the team has been consistent throughout the league stages.
