PMPL Thailand is the first PMPL to have been played out, and although there are 2 more days remaining in the Finals, RRQ Athena have shown that they are still the number one team in the region. The closely contested competition between Faze Clan and RRQ Athena finally has a victor as after 6 weeks and 90 games, RRQ are on top of the table with a 26 point lead. Despite Faze’s heroics in the initial weeks, they were unable to remain consistent throughout and narrowly lost out on the top spot.

RRQ won 3 of the 6 game weeks while Faze Clan, MiTH and QC.20 won one week each. RRQ now have to continue their winning run and take this form to the PMPL Thailand Finals. The team who win the finals will get a direct spot in PMWL East, and also move onto the SEA Finals along with the second and third placed team. However, RRQ Athena already have a confirmed spot in the SEA Finals as the defending champions from last season.

Week 6 of PMPL Thailand saw QC.20 Something win, allowing the team to move up to 7th place in the overall standings. Meanwhile, Illuminate the Murder managed to hold on to their 3rd place spot while MiTH finished in 4th place. The PMPL Thailand finals is expected to take place next weekend from the 27th-29th of March but will mostly take place online.

Edit: The previous version that RRQ had qualified directly for PMWL East. This was an error and we apologize for the mistake.
