Can you introduce yourself to those who may not know you?

Ooozee: My name is Jovannie Artajo Colong aka Ooozee, 20 Years old, from Quezon City, Philippines. I’m a Wild Rift pro player in Nexplay Esports.

I also played League of Legends since 2014 and reached Challenge rank (in LoL PC) in 4 seasons from 2016 to 2020. I stopped playing League of Legends (PC) after Wild Rift was released.

What made you shift from MLBB to Wild Rift?

Ooozee: I initially used to stream Mobile Legends to enhance my skills, but then when I found this(Wild Rift), I wanted to make a name for myself in the Wild Rift esports scene. So I switched to Wild Rift.

Which one is harder, Wild Rift or MLBB?

Ooozee: In my opinion, Wild Rift is more complicated than Mobile Legends because of the complexity of the game and the strategies. You need to keep track of the objectives. When you come from playing Mobile Legends and then switch to Wild Rift, It’s tough because there are so many things that you don’t understand unless you played LoL PC.

What Champion do you dislike?

Ooozee: For me, the champion that I dislike is Blitzcrank. Blitzcrank has an ability “Rocket Grab,” like Franco in Mobile Legends that you can use to grab players, so I hate Blitzcrank because I’m an AD carry. As an ADC, when an enemy Blitzcrank grabs you, they always have a chance to win because it ruins your positioning if he manages to hook you. So, it’s really hard to counter him.

Has the Pandemic affected you and your team?

Ooozee: Due to the Pandemic and COVID situation, we were separated for some time, and we could not coordinate well. We found it hard to play due to the lag caused by our Wifi. However, now that we are at a boot camp with an exceptional manager, we can play without worrying about lagging or disconnecting in the game. Living together and getting to know each other has made us communicate better as well.

Tell us your experiences with Akosi Dogie?

Ooozee: Boss Dogie, we also call him Boss Dogs, because he’s the boss in this Bootcamp. Dogie is a brilliant and very kind person. He always cares for his teammates and his friends. He still manages the team, and if there’s a problem, he will help the team.

Does he give you any advice for streaming?

Ooozee: Yes, he helped me boost my page and taught me how to stream well. Because he is a streamer, he gave me some tips and ideas on how to stream well.

Can you tell us about your training routine, how you prepare your Esports games?

Ooozee: Our Training Routine is based on the training procedure that our manager and coach made. These Training procedures made us learn the combos for different champions and utilize them in various situations. I’m always learning some tips on how to take the objectives as an AD Carry easily. The remainder of our training procedure is gaining experience via scrims and ranked games to perform better in tournaments.

How many hours do you train per day?

Ooozee: I think 16 hours a day. Since I’m a former challenger in Wild Rift from season 0(up to present), I always get server top 1 or top 5 in Wild Rift. I always compete with Korean teams or players. I still grind all day because I want my account to be a number 1 in server rank.

Ooozee managed to reach the Challenger in Wild Rift just last week

What are your goals and ambitions?

Ooozee: My goal is to win worldwide. Gain recognition not only by myself but alongside my team. I want to become a representative of my team and my country. Most of all, I aim to make a career out of doing what I love and supporting my family.

What are your tips in avoiding Tilting?

Ooozee: To avoid tilting, just stay focused, and remain calm. Patience will make one perfect.

Do you have any advice for those who are trying to go pro in Wild Rift Esports?

Ooozee: Set yourself a goal. Work hard for it, and don’t let anything come in your way. Hard work will always make you succeed.

What phones are you guys using to play Wild Rift?

Ooozee: We’re currently using iPhones, which we received as a gift from Boss Dogs and Nexplay Esports.

Do you have anything to say to your fans?

Ooozee: I just want to say thank you to everyone that supported us. We love every one of you. It makes me happy to know that we have fans who are there to support us; Fans who support us even when we lose some games.
