Garena Free Fire has introduced two new characters with the OB27 update called Xayne and Maro. Maro is based on Egyptian actor and singer Mohamed Ramadan. Garena announced him as a new character in Free Fire in March 2021. Maro is a falconer who enjoys bow hunting. His passive skill is called Falcon Fervor and it increases damage over distance as well as damage dealt to marked enemies. Maro will most likely be available for 499 diamonds or 8000 gold in the store when he is released worldwide. He was recently included as a reward for a 1 diamond top-up event in the MENA region between April 16 and 25, 2021.
Maro Character Passive - Falcon Fervor
In the character's screen animation, we see what looks like a holographic falcon, which is most likely related to the ‘marked’ enemies mentioned in his passive. Falconry is an ancient Egyptian pastime that involves training birds like falcons and eagles to hunt.
Given his Egyptian origin, it is possible that the falcon ‘marks’ targets when they are shot by the player, letting him deal more damage to marked enemies, similar to how Shirou marks characters when taking damage. However, this is just a guess, players will have to wait for his release to test him out. Here are the stats for Maro’s Falcon Fervor:
Level 1: Up to 5% damage increase over distance. 1% increased damage to marked enemies.
Level 2: Up to 7% damage increased over distance, 1.5% increased damage to marked enemies.
Level 3: Up to 10% damage increased over distance, 2% increased damage to marked enemies.
Level 4: Up to 14% damage increased over distance, 2.5% increased damage to marked enemies.
Level 5: Up to 19% damage increased over distance, 3% increased damage to marked enemies.
Level 6: Up to 25% damage increased over distance, 3.5% increased damage to marked enemies.

Since Maro has a passive ability, he will most likely be available for 499 diamonds or 8000 gold in the Store. He was released as a part of a top-up event on the MENA region Free Fire server and also as part of a spin event.

Garena announced that actor/singer Mohamad Ramadan would be released in Free Fire in March 2021 and since then has released a short action film starring the actor on YouTube on April 18, 2021, with the top-up event.
