Red Bull to Host New Pro VALORANT Invitational, Home Ground

Red Bull is set to host one of the biggest Valorant invitational tournaments this year with a Home Ground format.  The tournament will offer a unique take on map picks and bans to ensure the event is unpredictable without disrupting Valorant’s competitive meta. 

Red Bull Valorant Home Ground Overview

The event will feature some of the world's best teams, including G2, Team Liquid, Guild Esports, SUMN FC, and more. We will also see an open qualifier event that will allow 64 teams to battle it out to face off against the best teams in the world. The event is open to European teams only, and they can register at smash.gg/redbullhomeground

The event is organized as a partnership between AOC and Red Bull and will feature a prize pool of £24,000 ($32,800). The event will be hosted between Jan 28th to Jan 31st, and fans can catch the event live at www.twitch.tv/redbull. The open qualifiers will occur between Jan 23-24, and signups are currently live to have a shot at the top eight lineups at the finals.

The broadcast talent includes Frankie Ward joins as host, with CS:GO veteran Lauren "Pansy" Scott and Mike "hypoc" Robins, who will offer analysis and commentary. After a successful 2020, G2 will look to continue their dominance from the Ignition series at the upcoming event. G2 revealed to Red Bull, "we have learned from our mistakes during First Strike and will return stronger than before at Home Ground by Red Bull to sweep our competition the way we did during all Ignition Series tournaments."

Red Bull’s Journey Into Valorant  

Home Ground is the first Valorant event for Red Bull as the brand is working towards creating a name in the competitive FPS. The brand has worked with other Riot Games events, including League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. The event will be broadcast from 11:30 am (GMT)/12:30 (CET) each day from 28-31 January at twitch.tv/redbull.

Registrations are now live, and if your team is based in Europe, you can sign up for the event at the official smash tournament page. Players who make it through the qualifiers will get to face off against the invited teams for a prize pool of £24,000 ($32,800).
