Skyesports is building up quite a reputation as VALORANT tournament organizers. The tournament organizer behind the successful ‘Skyesports Championship’ tournaments has just announced its biggest VALORANT tournament yet, with the Skyesports League 2020 featuring an INR 10 Lakh ($13,400~ USD) prize pool.

Details of Skyesports League 2020: VALORANT
Teams will represent Indian Cities/States
Skyesports League 2020 will also adopt a unique model that was also followed in its previous tournaments where teams competed as representatives of certain Indian cities/states. Several popular Indian streamers including the likes of Sc0utOP, Thug, Mortal, TSM Ghatak will be competing in this tournament representing eight cities/states:
- Mumbai
- Chennai
- Hyderabad
- Kolkata
- Bengaluru
- Delhi
- Punjab
- Rajasthan
Prize Pool Distribution
The Skyesports League 2020: VALORANT features an INR 10 Lakh prize pool which will be distributed amongst the 8 competing teams. In addition two players will also receive INR 50,000 each from this tournament.
MVP Player: The player of the tournament, with respect to KDA and Aces
Star Player: The Fan Favourite player who will be picked by fans, through a voting system.
This is the largest VALORANT tournament yet (in terms of prize pool), hosted in the South Asian region.
The Team Rosters and The Players
According to Skyesports, the teams will be represented by the following teams and players.
Team Mumbai: Scout, Thug, Mortal, Rebel, Zeref.
Team Bengaluru: Rushindra Sinha and Global Esports team.
Team Hyderabad: VLT Manoj, Antidote, etc
Team Chennai: MidFail and Team Tamilas
Team Punjab: HydraFlick and team
Team Rajasthan: TSM Ghatak and team
Team Delhi: Simar Sethi and team.
Tournament Format
The Skyesports League 2020: VALORANT tournament will take place in a round-robin format, with each team playing against every other team twice during the course of the tournament.
The prize pools for Indian VALORANT tournaments have been steadily increasing after the official release of the game in the country. With tournament organizers setting their sights on this game title as the go-to for PC FPS tournaments, the future of the Indian esports scene for VALORANT looks bright.
In a conversation with AFK Gaming, Skyesports also revealed its ambitious plans to expand this format into a ‘franchise-based model' like the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the upcoming iterations of the league.
