Both Fnatic India and TSM-Entity have been relatively inactive since the PUBG Mobile ban in the country. Nimish “Nemo” Raut, India Lead - Fnatic, believes that this series could be an interesting and feasible way to provide some content for the fans while allowing both teams to activate their partners.

“Esports needs to go the traditional sports route, which means that we need to look beyond traditional competitions and events to create long-term content and long-term competitions which will lead to engagement for brands.,” said Raut. “The idea is that if there is a rivalry between two teams, just like in a cricket bilateral series or a football friendly game, we would like to create something similar where we continue to compete with the best teams in the world on a regular basis and then put that out as a product for the fans to watch and enjoy.”

TSM Entity’s Manager, Sid “SID” Joshi also echoed some of Raut’s sentiments stating that it was a good initiative to thank the fans.

“I think it’s a great initiative to give something back to the fans and supporters who have stuck with us through these difficult times. If this is a success I am sure we can expect such collaborations even after PUBG Mobile is back.“

When asked about how TSM Entity is preparing for the showmatch, Joshi’s response was nothing less than savage!

“As far as the actual match is concerned, I usually make my players grind a lot before any match. But, knowing that it is Fnatic playing VALORANT, we've just been grinding Wild RIft.”
