Man City Star Aguero Launches New Esports Organization
- Man City star Sergio Aguero launches a new esports team named KRU Esports. He has been named as its Founder and CEO.
- The organization will kickstart in FIFA 21 and establish itself in that space before looking to expand to other titles like League of Legends and CS:GO

One of the most famous football players in the world, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has announced his entry into the esports world with his very own esports organization: ‘KRU Esports’.
Aguero has already been named as the Founder and CEO of KRU Esports. This announcement comes just a few months after the football star began streaming on Twitch amassing a massive following who watched him play titles like FIFA 20, Fall Guys, and Among Us.

KRU Esports Will Begin With In FIFA 2021. Might Expand To CS:GO and League of Legends later
In an interview hosted on KRU Esports’ official Twitch channel, Aguero stated that will kickstart with an esports team in FIFA 21 where they aim to build a solid base before expanding to other esports titles like League of Legends or CS:GO. The FIFA 21 team will make their official debut in November and will reveal the team members by then. According to Agüero, KRU will be based in Argentina and Spain to act as a bridge between the two regions.
The organization’s reveal trailer also teases the possibility of KRU Esports expanding to titles like Rocket League, VALORANT, Fortnite amongst many others.
Lionel Messi, who is a close friend of the Argentian also appeared on video, congratulating Aguero and wishing the new team good luck.

On their official website, KRU Esports stated that they aim to destigmatize “the socio-cultural vision that is usually had in relation to video games.” Considering the fact that they have a successful sporting icon leading the charge, we would say that they’re already off to a good start.
