Bren Esports Announces VALORANT Roster

The Filipino organization has decided to field a VALORANT roster following the culmination of Cyber Games Arena Pacific Open which came to an end last week. Though the organization themselves have not provided a lot of detail their lineup is as follows,

  • Jim Albert "BORKUM" Timbreza
  • Jayvee "DubsteP" Paguirigan
  • Kevin "dispenser" Te
  • Jessie Cristy "JessieVash" Cuyco
  • Gilbert “Gibo” A.
  • Ching

The most famous player in the lineup is the retired CS:GO pro BORKHUM. The Filipino is quite known in the SEA Counter-Strike scene having played for organizations like TNC Pro Team, Bren Esports, and Team Aster. After having played the game for four years he is now taking a leap and entering VALORANT, BORKHUM along with JessieVash, Dispenser, and Gibo managed to secure a 5th - 8th finish at the CGA Pacific Open.

While playing in the tournament they were signed by another Filipino esports organization Team Aster who were forced to release the entire lineup due to the ongoing pandemic. Gibo was signed as the coach and maybe he will continue to operate as one with this lineup as well.

Both DubsteP and dispenser are also retired Counter-Strike players having played for teams like Mineski, Team Aster, and more. JessieVash is the only player on the lineup who does not belong from a tactical shooting game background, he is a former Dota 2 player who has represented Mineski and Happy Feet before going inactive.

There is not much information available on Ching who is the last player to round out the Bren Esports lineup. With a lot of VALORANT tournaments coming up for the Southeast Asia region like the $50,000 A.W Extreme Masters Asia Invitational, let’s see how Bren Esports stands up to the rising competition.
