Dendi, in a recent Russian interview, compared the intelligence of Dota 2 and CS:GO players.
According to him, Dota 2 players have to think more and are smarter because the game requires a strategic mindset whereas CS:GO players do not have to think as much as Dota 2 ones.
Dendi's team, B8 Esports, recently merged with the CIS team, XactJlepbI, and will now be seen in action from April 13, 2021, when the second season of the DPC begins.

Dendi, in a recent interview with the Russian YouTube channel OTDUSHIVDUSHU, compared the smartness of Dota 2 and CS:GO players. According to the former Na’Vi star player, Danil "Dendi" Ishutin, Dota 2 players have to think more and are smarter because the game requires a strategic mindset. On the other hand, though CS:GO players also need to think about the game, it is lesser in extent when compared to Dota 2 since CS:GO is a first-person shooter game. The Ukrainian’s current team, B8 Esports, was recently involved in a roster change as it merged with the CIS team, XactJlepbI, to finalize a full five-man roster.

Dendi hilariously also mentioned that though CS:GO players are smart people and do possess little IQ, Dota 2 players will just remain smarter.

“In general, I think you need to think everywhere. Dota is a strategy game and CS:GO is a shooter. Therefore, we can say that there (in Dota 2), you need to think more as strategic thinking is required.

Dota 2 players, I don't say that they are smarter. Okay, though. Xers, you are, of course, smart people, you have a little IQ, but Dota players will be smarter. There are no options here, you will forgive me. Everyone chooses a game for their abilities. If you are a smart person, then you have chosen Dota.”

Dendi’s recent performances and B8’s roster changes

The legendary mid lane player has unfortunately not been experiencing a lot of success in the past few years. His own organization, B8 Esports, established in January 2020, has not been able to secure a single top-three finish in any of the Dota 2 tournaments played until now. They also had a very tough time in the recently concluded CIS 2021 DPC Season 1: Lower Division, where they finished last.

After this disappointing result, the organization parted ways with their 3 Brazilian players, RdO, Duster and Sexyfat, reducing the roster down to just 2 players - Dendi and [T]SA.

On the same day, March 16, 2021, B8 announced a merger with the CIS team, XactJlepbI, to finalize their Dota 2 roster.

  1. Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov
  2. Danil "Dendi" Ishutin
  3. Vladislav "DkFogas" Frolov
  4. Sergey "[T]SA" Timchenko
  5. Aleksandr "Nofear" Churochkin

Since XactJlepbI finished in sixth place in the CIS 2021 DPC Season 1: Lower Division and hence retained their spot in the second season, this team will be seen in action from April 13, 2021, when the second season kickstarts. It is unclear at the moment if the team will play under the XactJlepbI or the B8 tag.
