  • OG and Team Secret extensively troll each other through their Twitter handles.
  • This is not the first time that both teams have engaged in Twitter banter as they have a knack of poking fun at each other.
  • Team Secret is currently in sublime form and are gearing up for the upcoming Singapore Major. On the other hand, OG's recent performances have been rusty and they are also going to miss the Major.

OG and Team Secret have never really been too afraid to mock each other on Twitter. While most of this banter is done for fun and content, the two organizations’ recent exchange of tweets took things to the next level. OG initially uploaded an image of their captain, Johan "N0tail" Sundstein, who was smiling as he held a computer monitor. They conveyed through their caption that while gamers were smashing monitors, the team’s captain was happy holding one. Team Secret replied with a very savage comment, “You might want to plug in that computer if you want to qualify for an event in 2021” leading to a war of words between the two organizations.

This time, OG and Team Secret’s Twitter may have taken things a little too far trolling each other, causing many fans to call these exchanges “cringy.” Here is how the whole Twitter battle panned out.

After Team Secret mocked OG’s failure to qualify for the ONE Esports Singapore Major, the two-time champions responded with a clip that showed Secret’s captain, Puppey, smashing a monitor and captioned it,

“Ya ya we get it bro you're mean

Go fix yours I'll go plug in mine.”

Team Secret who have been indomitable in the EU Dota 2 competitive scene in the past year and registered an unbeaten run in the EU 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division, directly qualifying for the playoffs of the Singapore Major, again mocked OG’s failure to qualify for the Major.

“We'll settle this in Singapore (Smiling face with horns)

on a Zoom call.”

OG then referred to their victory at TI9 where they had prevailed in the final days to emerge as the champions while Secret had been knocked out in the Lower Bracket R5.

In addition, they also posted an image of the recent head-to-head results between the two teams. OG has only been able to win one out of the ten recent meetings between the two sides.

OG responded to this by stating that Secret only knew “where ana” to come back into an argument. Secret then retaliated by stating that OG only resorts to “Where TI” posts since they have not won a single tournament in the last two years.

After Puppey and his teammates won the series in the EU DPC against OG, the team's Twitter handle had tweeted "gg ez."A few Dota 2 fans reacted to this Twitter battle by calling it “cringy” and “pathetic”, while a few agreed that the two social media admins took things a little too far. Others just found this exchange hilarious.

Team Secret’s performances in recent tournaments have also been top-notch, with them now gearing up for the first DPC Major of the season, scheduled for March 27 - April 4, 2021. On the other hand, OG looked lackluster in the recently concluded EU DPC League and hence, miss out on the Major. However, they have shown that they can turn up the heat whenever TI comes around.
