  • T1 has defeated BOOM Esports 2-1 to reach the third spot in the points table of SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division.
  • BOOM let the first game slip away which allowed T1 to grab the win. While BOOM won the second game, T1 closed out the series in their favor by winning game 3.
  • Next, T1 will face TNC Predator on February 6 while BOOM takes on TNC Predator on February 10.

T1 has entered the safe spot of the top three in the points table of SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division after managing to beat BOOM Esports 2-1. While BOOM Esports was the better team in almost the entirety of the first two games and should have closed out the series 2-0, they allowed the first game to drift away, which T1 quickly grasped, taking the victory. After a 1-1 scoreline, BOOM had a bad draft in the third game, which allowed Kuku and his boys to notch up the game and the series.

T1 has discovered the winning ways in SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division

February 4 witnessed a single series in SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division as T1 took on the Indonesian squad of BOOM Esports.

Points table of SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division after T1's win over BOOM.In Game 1, BOOM let the game slip away from their hands after failing to pierce the high ground of T1 a couple of times. BOOM had a solid networth and objective lead throughout the game, but they dove too much into the enemy’s high ground as T1 had the right heroes to deter and punish them. Eventually, T1 took advantage of these overzealous dives and won the first game in 56 minutes.

Game 2 witnessed Mikoto deliver a scintillating Puck performance as he ended it with a KDA of 17-1-9. He was a part of 26 out of the 28 kills that BOOM managed to achieve in the entire game as he ran rampant over the enemy side. All other heroes of his side complimented him well as BOOM took the second game in 38 minutes.

Game 3 was a bad draft by BOOM as they had a very squishy support duo in the form of Lich and Keeper of the Light. T1’s cores became fairly tanky as the game progressed as their enemies had no damage to kill them. Boom Esports put all their eggs into Drew’s basket on Phantom Lancer, but T1 had itemized perfectly for him, had a better draft, and won the game in 38 minutes.

T1, after a rough start against Fnatic, has found its form and looks better than before. However, they have not been as comprehensive in their wins as one would expect, considering the individual skill of the players they have on board. TNC Predator will challenge their bid to stay in the top three on February 6 in an exciting series.

BOOM Esports is now placed on the number four spot with two wins in four series. One of their primary weaknesses has been their weak drafting, as the Dota 2 panelists of SEA DPC have pointed out. They will also play their next series against TNC Predator, which takes place on February 10.
