One of the most cherished players in the Dota 2 pro scene, Topias Miikka "Topson" Taavitsainen, has been streaming quite frequently this holiday season. Whenever he livestreams, a ton of viewers tune in to watch the midlaner's bizarre yet effective item builds and gameplays.
In one of his recent streaming sessions, Topson showed off why he is the 'Raid Boss' as he almost single-handedly killed all the enemies with an Aegis on Troll Warlord.
Topson Kills All Five Enemies With The New Aghanim Scepter On Troll Warlord
Topson played a mid Troll Warlord in one of his pub games, which also had other pros, including zai, Resolut1on, MinD_ContRoL, and Ergon. His item build was quite insane as he bought the first item Hood Of Defiance, and then rushed into the new Aghanim’s Scepter. The New Aghanim’s Scepter allows Troll Warlord to dispel debuffs on himself with his Melee Whirling Axes and Ranged Whirling Axes to dispel enemies while also reducing the cooldown and mana cost of the abilities.
Topson used this new change to sheer perfection at the 24th minute of the game. With no ally by his side, Topson though with an Aegis, was in a spot of bother as he was up against five enemies.
But he turned it around with some luck, some skill and a lot of help from Icefrog’s recent buffs to Troll Warlord.
He went on to win the game for his team, ending it with a KDA of 17-2-15. His item progression through the rest of the game was even more mind-boggling as he built a Mage Slayer, Kaya and Sange, and a Radiance. Resolutut1on was also in awe of the OG midlaner as he wrote ‘Topias god’ in all-chat.
The two-time TI champion has certainly been the player who has broken the shackles of orthodox item builds. He has found a wholly new and unique way of playing Dota that has mostly borne rewards for him rather than backfiring. His Ethereal Blade builds on almost every hero at the latter half of EPIC League and OGA Dota Pit S4 also seemed to be very effective. He is undoubtedly a next-level player who has and continues to deliver some extraordinary moments.
