Epic Esports Events is known for holding a number of tournaments through their renowned series, EPICENTER. In a tweet by @epicentergg, they shared the initial details of the EPIC League.

Eight teams have received a direct invite to the tournament and two more teams will be joining them through the closed qualifiers which will be played from November 3-11. The Open Qualifiers will be held for two days from October 29-30. The teams will be brawling to get a lion’s share of the $500,000 prize pool.

List of Invited teams:

  • Alliance
  • OG
  • Team Secret
  • Natus Vincere
  • Team Nigma
  • Team Liquid
  • Virtus.Pro

The tournament is being hailed as the replacement to the OMEGA League S2 so this event, like Season 1, will be played in two divisions. However, in this iteration, instead of the 12 last time, a total of 10 teams will be competing in Division 1. Eight teams will be directly invited to the Division 1 league while two teams will join them through the qualifiers.
