- Virtus Pro carry iLTW apologises for his toxicity in the pub game yesterday, against Xcalibur.
- The Russian organization has already fined the player for his actions.
Virtus.Pro’s carry Igor "iLTW" Filatov has apologized to former B8 Esports carry Steve "Xcalibur" Ye for his actions in yesterday’s pub game. The player made some unsavoury remarks against Xcalibur and his family.
The Russian player made a public apology on his social media page, stating that it wasn’t really smart to allow his emotions to turn into insults.
“During today's pub game, I acted really wrong towards Steve “XcaliburYe” Ye and allowed myself to say very rude words about him and his family. The emotions from the game should not turn into insults, especially from professional players, who are set as an example by many. Sorry, Steve, that really wasn't very smart from my side.”
He also affirms that professional players are expected to be role models for the community and such behaviour is certainly reprehensible.
iLTW will return to action with Virtus.Pro in the upcoming BEYOND EPIC: Europe/CIS, which kicks off in just over a week. Xcalibur is still looking for a team after his departure from B8 Esports.
