For the first time since April 2019, BOOM Esports is back to the centre stage in the DPC. They’ve managed to qualify for the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 after besting TNC Predator, Reality Rift and IO Dota in the SEA Minor Qualifiers.

They were quite clearly the best team in the SEA Minor Qualifiers, winning it without dropping a single series.

BOOM Esports’ Road to Starladder

BOOM Esports kicked off their journey by beating TNC Predator in the opening series of the qualifiers 2-1. After passing through their most difficult test, it was all smooth sailing for the Indonesian team afterwards. They easily 2-0d Reality Rift in the Winner Bracket Finals to move on to the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals was also not a close affair. The Indonesians won the first two games convincingly. Although Reality Rift took the third game of the BO5 series, off BOOM Esports. Dreamocel and Co. were always in control.

They closed out the fourth game in under 30 minutes to claim the series and a spot at the Starladder Dota 2 Minor S3.

This victory will mean a lot to the team, considering the departure of Indonesian Superstar inyourdream earlier this month. The Indonesian midlaner failed to make it through the Open qualifiers of this set of Majors/Minors.
