  • Olofmeister returns to FaZe Clan's active CS:GO roster once again, coming back to the competitive circuit after 4 months.
  • He replaces coldzera on the active lineup and joins the team "on a more permanent basis," as per Twistzz.
  • With this, FaZe Clan confirm their CS:GO roster ahead of BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021 where they will be going up against Na'Vi tomorrow June 16.

Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson has returned to FaZe Clan’s active CS:GO roster once again. The Swedish legend had taken a break from the competitive scene that lasted four months. Olofmeister will be replacing Brazilian rifle , Marcelo “coldzera” David, who had stepped down from the lineup earlier this month after FaZe Clan bombed out of Flashpoint Season 3, the first European RMR event of the year. This locks in the FaZe lineup for the upcoming BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021 which is scheduled to take place from June 15-20, featuring a massive $425,000 USD prize pool. This is the fourth time that olofmeister has returned to FaZe Clan’s active CS:GO lineup since joining the organization in August 2017.

Olofmeister Completes FaZe Clan’s CS:GO Lineup

FaZe Clan despite bringing in top players like Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken and Finn “karrigan” Andersen have not been able to win a single CS:GO tournament since the start of the year. Since the beginning of 2021, the team has consistently underperformed, with their recent last place finish at the Flashpoint Season 3 showcasing that the team desperately needed a change to their lineup.

A change was due as things were certainly not working out for them and came in the form of coldzera stepping down. There were hints that olofmeister would be the one replacing him and this came true ahead of the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021, with Twistzz in an interview with Dot Esports stating that FaZe Clan would be using olofmeister “on a more permanent basis“ going forward.

“I think it’s the best situation we could come up with because we have one of the best lurkers in the game still willing to come off the bench,” Twistzz said in the interview. He continuing by saying that olofmeister is “a very smart player and he does his role to perfection. We’re creating new things with him, and if it wasn’t permanent we wouldn’t be creating new things; we really believe in him. From my time playing with olof, without a doubt, he’s the smartest player I’ve ever played with.”

FaZe Clan who missed out on IEM Summer 2021 will be seen in action tomorrow going up against Na’Vi at the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021. They will certainly be aiming for better team performance and consistency with this tweaked lineup, hoping to improve their rank and get back in the top thirty as they currently stand at the 39th position on the HLTV global rankings.

The FaZe Clan CS:GO lineup is as follows,

  • Håvard "rain" Nygaard
  • Helvijs "broky" Saukants
  • Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
  • Finn "karrigan" Andersen (IGL)
  • Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer
  • Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström (Coach)
